Merton-Compliant Age Assessments

Specialist Support for UASC and Local Authorities

With over 20 years of collective experience working with Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC), our Independent Social Workers (ISWs) deliver age assessments that are thorough, compassionate, and fully compliant with Merton guidance.

Expert-Led Assessments

Our trained ISWs specialise in age assessment, offering sensitive and impartial assessments tailored to each individual. We stay abreast of recent judicial decisions to ensure our reports are evidence-based and legally robust.

Flexible, Cost-Effective Service

We offer bespoke arrangements—whether as Lead Assessor or providing both lead and second assessors. If the local authority requires just a lead age assessor we can accommodate this as long as the second assessor from the local authority is a qualified social worker, with relevant experience. The latter model reduces costs while maintaining high standards within our assessments.

Comprehensive Support

We can provide assessors, interpreters, appropriate adults, and suitable venues if required. All assessments are conducted with empathy and professionalism, prioritising the welfare of vulnerable individuals.

Training and Policy Review

We have a wealth of experience and able to review and offer guidance to local authorities to develop and review their procedures and support their staff to understand and be competent with age assessments.

Timely Delivery

Reports are completed within 28 days—or sooner if needed—ensuring timely decision-making for local authorities.
